My nephew, Mike, moved to this area several years ago, so we've checked out this area quite thoroughly. It is one of the more interesting San Francisco neighborhoods.
Take a walk down Chestnut Street, the "main drag".....with lots of delicious, interesting restaurants, deli, and fun shops.
Try a restaurant...recommended by my nephew - Izzy's and E'Angelo.
Take a stroll through this lovely affluent neighborhood of beautiful homes.
Palace of Fine Arts has a beautiful setting and contains the Exploratorium.
Marina Green overlooks the Bay and is full of activity with cyclists, walkers and Frisbee players.
This is a great area to get away from the "hustle and bustle" of the city and slow down a bit. It feels more "low key" than other parts of San Francisco.
Be sure to include the Marina District San Francisco on your Memorable Getaway to the "City by the Bay".
