Japanese Garden San Francisco
Golden Gate Park

Japanese Garden San Francisco

The traditional Japanese Garden San Francisco is located at the beautiful Golden Gate Park.

The Park is a great place to spend a part of the day when you need a break from the hustle and bustle of the city.

It is a narrow strip of land that starts at the Pacific Ocean.

There are flower gardens, lots of bike and walking paths, and several special sights.

Here are the highlights:

  • Japanese Tea Garden - a traditional garden with Japanese Maples, Koi Ponds and Bonsai Plants. Beautiful tea house where you can stop for a rest. Lovely place for a stroll.

  • Golden Gate Park Conservatory - striking glass house with unusual orchids and many plants from 5 continents.

  • San Francisco Botanical Gardens and Arboretum - over 6000 species of plants, trees and flowers set in theme gardens. Check out free docent tours.

  • Deyoung Museum - includes art from Africa, Oceania and the Americas.

  • Stow Lake - man-made lake where you can rent bicycles, rowboats and paddle boats.

The Golden Gate Park is a great place to take a break on your San Francisco Weekend Getaway.

My nephew who lives in San Francisco says about Golden Gate Park, "One of my favorite places in the city. A must see for anyone visiting the city."

You won't regret a peaceful stroll through the Japanese Tea Garden San Francisco.
